Serving Southwest Florida Since 1980

Airport Authority-RSW

We at Avalon have been serving the Port Authority for many years. We started at Page Field, the original airport in SW Florida, developed a military training facility. We helped Ben Pratt, Public Works Director for Lee County, with studies necessary to create the site for the RSW airport. We worked on many airport projects as a sub to larger firms and designed some of the following elements:

The Mid-Field Air Traffic Control Tower Site

Avalon Engineering played a crucial role in the development of the Mid-field Air Traffic Control Tower, a key infrastructure project aimed at enhancing airport safety and efficiency. Located strategically within the airport's central area, the tower improves air traffic management by providing optimal visibility and control. Avalon Engineering contributed to the project’s design, focusing on structural integrity, site development, and compliance with aviation safety standards. Their expertise ensured the project was completed on time and met stringent regulatory requirements, reinforcing Avalon’s reputation for delivering reliable engineering solutions in complex, high-stakes environments.

The Car Rental building and site

Lee County, Florida
Avalon Engineering was instrumental in the design and development of the Car Rental Building at Southwest Florida International Airport (RSW). The facility serves as a critical component of the airport’s infrastructure, streamlining car rental services for travelers. Avalon Engineering’s role included site planning, structural design, and ensuring the project met all regulatory and environmental standards. Their expertise in managing complex, high-traffic projects ensured that the building was completed on schedule and seamlessly integrated into the airport’s operations. Avalon’s attention to detail and commitment to quality contributed to the efficient and modern facility seen today at RSW.

The Toll Facility

Lee County, Florida
Avalon Engineering played a pivotal role in the development of the Toll Facility at Southwest Florida International Airport (RSW). The project was essential for managing the flow of vehicles entering and exiting the airport, improving traffic efficiency and enhancing overall customer experience. Avalon Engineering’s responsibilities included designing the toll plaza’s layout, ensuring proper traffic management, and overseeing the integration of advanced tolling systems. Their expertise in civil and transportation engineering ensured the project met all regulatory requirements and was completed on time. Avalon’s work helped create a seamless, efficient toll system that supports RSW’s growing traffic demands.
